David Mosier builds precision titanium framelocks with an obsessive attention to the mechanics of deployment. His signature use of the IKBS bearing system — ball bearings at the pivot — produces a flipper action that collectors describe as among the best in the custom market. Lock-up is absolute, detent is firm, centering is exact. There is nothing approximate about a Mosier knife.
The Creep is a collaboration with Tashi Bharucha, a French knife designer who trained as a graphic and creative designer before turning to blades. Bharucha has worked with some of the most respected makers in the trade — Tom Mayo, Bob Terzuola, Phil Boguszewski, among others. His designs are characterized by clean lines, considered ergonomics, and a European restraint that keeps the knife from announcing itself.
The result here is a titanium folder that looks like it was designed by an architect and built by a watchmaker.
“Lock-up is super solid with not an iota of play in any direction.”
