Stag Gunstock
KABISCH · Satin
A traditional gunstock-pattern slipjoint in CPM 154, hand-rubbed satin, with a clip-point recurve and nail nick. Amber stag covers, deep with character, set between stainless bolsters; a stainless sword escutcheon inlaid at the spine line.
The lock is the kind that gives a maker away — half-stop, flush in all positions, the blade sitting dead level with the liner closed or open. New from the maker at the 2022 Blade Show Texas; arrives in his branded zippered pouch.

Ben Kabisch
Texas · Slipjoints in the Case Tradition
Out of Texas, Ben Kabisch builds slipjoints in the case-style tradition — pocket knives a grandfather would recognize, in patterns that Case, Camillus, and Old Timer wore smooth a generation back.
Most run CPM 154, two-and-a-half to five inches; the dress walks from antler and stag to bone, mammoth ivory, composite, and stabilized wood — he’s even cast a handle from the ashes of a customer’s late father. A Texas Knifemakers’ Guild member. Fixed blades on request.
Each piece travels in a branded zippered pouch, his logo embroidered. Built to be carried, built to be passed on.
“My granddad always had Case, Camillus, or Old Timer knives on him when I was a kid — it’s really a nostalgia thing for me.”
